New positive experience and another podium for Michele Beretta at Nordschleife: in the penultimate round of VLN championship (Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring) the young driver from Lecco brought the Phoenix Racing’s Audi R8 LMS to the podium (second in a row), a result shared with his team-mates Jans and Schramm. Under a warm autumn sun, which highlighted the drivers during the 4 hours race along the old Nurburgring, Beretta shown once again his good performance and feeling on the R8, despite being his second appearance at the wheel of the “Made in Ingolstadt” GT3 car; under the chequered flag, the Beretta-Jans-Schramm trio got the 2nd place of Pro-Am class and the tenth overall (among over 160 cars), managing to close in the same lap as the winners despite an inconvenience slowed down the red Audi #9 in the second part of the race.
Michele Beretta: “That’s a good weekend at Nurburgring, where I achieved more confidence with car and track completing many laps in dry condition. In the end, although we lost some time in the second part of the race, we managed to achieve the target we set before the event. Now remains the last appointment of this splendid championship, and it will once again so important to see and evaluate a future commitment in this context.“
