Michele Beretta is among the top drivers 6 Hours of Rome 2015, classic endurance race that ends the european motorsport season. The young driver from Lecco set the best lap time in Vallelunga during the official practice, where he put in front of all the Renault RS01 prepared by Oregon Team, with a great time despite the traffic encountered during his fastest lap (the only who was able to break the 1’32.0). Beretta – which share the french car with Bontempelli and Ojavan – preceded Avelon’s Wolf CN2 and AF Corse’s Ferrari 458 GT3.
Michele Beretta: “This pole position is fantastic! I found immediately a great feeling with this car and I’m very very happy about the lap time I set, that could be even better if I didn’t got two other drivers in the right line during my lap. But, in the end, I’m behind both the fastest prototype and Ferrari 458 GT3, and this is a good sign for the race. Six hours are long and the strategy will be fundamental, but our target is – of course – the top of the podium.”
The 6 Hours of Rome will start tomorrow morning at 9:45 am and can be followed by live streaming on www.gruppoperonirace.it
