One of the most exciting events of the season has arrived. Next weekend Michele will be among the protagonists of the ADAC Total Energies 24h Nürburgring. The German race-event draws attention of professionals and millions of fans around the world that will follow it on TV and at the trackside.

Michele arrives in Germany ready, at the peak of a winning period, in which he has raced all over the world. The competitive world tour has started last month from the Nordschleife, where Mike raced the 6 hours in preparation of the 24 hours, getting excellent results with the Phoenix Racing Team. Then Michele flew to Italy, to Pergusa, to conquer a place of honor in the first round of the Italian GT Championship. This demanding, but thrilling, tour of speed continued with a pole position and a double victory, obtained last weekend in the GT World Endurance America, in the race at Nola Motopark.
In four weeks Michele has passed, confidently, from the amazing Lamborghini Huracan to the spectacular Audi R8 LMS Evo with which he will be on track in the German marathon and with which he has already competed in two races.

Euphoric and motivated, Michele is thoroughly familiar with the insidius German circuit, one of the most difficult in the world, a track in which driving cars like the R8 LMS gives pure thrills but hides thousand surprises.
“This is my third participation to the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring, I am well aware of the unknowns that the track hides and the unpredictable situations that regularly come suddenly. Between lappings, changeable weather condition, length of the track and much more … I expect all kinds of situations, I keep my feet on the ground and I don’t want to commit myself. One thing is sure, the weather here is always unstable and a downpour is possible at any time. I expect to be as competitive as in past editions, the Phoenix team is one of the best and my teammates are experienced and fast, we will see the rest as the hours go by .”

Mindful of the two previous editions, Mike makes a wish:
“I only hope to race for 24 hours straight, because in the last two editions, due to bad weather, the race was interrupted for long periods and I drove a lot under the safety car. In the next test sessions we will refine the set-up and we will have to understand how to make the most of the tires, including soft, medium and hard. It is important to understand in which temperature range it is better to use a certain type of rubber solution, especially at night, when temperatures drop.”

We will have a surprise at Nürburgring already from the test session.
“A new graphic will debut on my helmet. I had it done with a clear inspiration from Keith Haring’s pop art, it’s cheerful and I’m really satisfied with it. You will see it debut next weekend.”
