From Monza, Temple of Speed, to Silverstone, another circuit that has made the history of sports car racing: the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup arrives next weekend in England for the second round of the season with still 50 GT3 cars scheduled for the start. Among them also the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Barwell Motorsport team, that looks forward to forget the withdrawal occurred in Monza; home race for the English team looking for the first seasonal points, a result that is absolutely within reach considering the performances shown both in the tests and at Monza. The line-up will be as usual composed by Michele Beretta, Junior Driver Lamborghini, Martin Kodric and Sandy Mitchell; together they aim to seize an important result to relaunch the run-up to the Silver Cup title.

Michele Beretta: “Silverstone will be the real beginning of the season for us and we immediately want to redeem the 0 of the first race, winning important points for the classification. Even in Silvertone are expected over 50 cars and there will always be to fight for every hundredth of a second. The time available on the race weekends is not much and it will be important to start well from free practice, as we had done at Monza. The greater unknown will be the weather; we did a test last month and we had the chance to try a little bit in all conditions, so we feel prepared and ready to give our best.

On the 5,881 meters of the Northampton circuit, the engines will fire up on Saturday 19 May at 11.45 for free practice, followed by the pre-qualifications at 4.45 pm; Sunday, May 20, qualifying for the starting grid (11.45 am) while the race (3 hours longer) will see the green light at 4 pm italian time, with live streaming on www.blancpain-gt-series.com
