At the double round of the GT World Challenge America Michele played a leading role. The K-Pax Racing’s Lamborghini #1 crossed the line in third and second place and now Mike has moved up to second place in the overall standings.

The rounds 8 and 9 of the GT World Challenge America started with some difficulties, also due to the wet track conditions and during qualifying Michele and his team-mate Andrea Caldarelli, were unable to express their full potential, finishing fifth (race 1) and tenth (race 2).
In both races the performances increased significantly and the Huracan GT3 #1 climbed very soon the top positions.
In race 1, Michele started very well and avoided a crash that involved many cars by a whiff. At the restart of the race, Michele moved into second position, leaving the car to Caldarelli in the best conditions to win the podium.

In race 2 Caldarelli made an excellent recovery from the fifth row on the grid, leaving the wheel of the Huracan to Michele, fully launched towards a well-deserved podium.
Michele in his driving shift scored the overtaking against Pepper which earned him the second position under the chequered flag and allowed Mike to get the points to move up to the second overall position in the championship (Pro ranking) behind the team-mate Caldarelli.

Michele is full of work to be able to return to the competitiveness of the beginning of the season when four consecutive victories have arrived.
“We are missing something in terms of performance and we are working hard on it, to be able to return to the level we had in the first phase of the season. One thing is certain, I can’t win the championship and I’m aiming for second place. We have to face two important tracks like Indianapolis and Sebring and I would like to have a winning end of the season.”
