The race of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO #60 was flawless until the final stages. The trio, which includes Michele Beretta, led the six-hour race for more than 4 hours and 40 minutes. With 1 hour and 16 minutes remaining, the Sospiri Racing Huracan, driven at that point by Deledda, was overtaken by the BMW M4 GT3 EVO of Paradine Competition, which went on to take the win.

Complicating the final phase of Michele’s race was a 30-second penalty for exceeding track limits, served during the fifth pit stop. Despite the setback, the #60 crew remained fully in contention for a podium finish, fighting fiercely against the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3 R of Steller Motorsport and the Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II of Sainteloc Racing.

Unfortunately, the rain in the closing stages prevented the #60 from clinching a Silver class podium. In the final moments, with Hutchison behind the wheel, the Lamborghini was hit by the Audi during their podium battle, causing them to drop to sixth place.

The final result was a P6 finish in the Silver category—an outcome that does not reflect the strong performance Michele delivered throughout this GT World Challenge debut weekend.

Following the race at Paul Ricard, Michele commented:
“We had a great car, which gives us confidence for the rest of the season. As for this race, it was a missed opportunity—we had the potential to finish, at the very least, on the podium, but didn’t capitalize on it. We’ll bounce back at Monza, our home race.”
