The European Le Mans Series returns to Paul Ricard for the third round of the season. On the french circuit, Michele Beretta took a fantastic victory in the opening round of the championship.
Forgot the frustration after the missed win at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) due to a puncture that occurred when the Proton Competition’s Porsche 911 RSR #77 was leading, Le Castellet is the right place to restart the fight for the championship.
Beretta and his team-mates (Alessio Picariello and Christian Ried) are provisionally second in the standings with 37 points, only 7 behind the leaders. During the break between these events, Beretta worked hard on fitness and trainings looking for this race, that will be held from sunset to midnight.
“At Paul Ricard we won, therefore it is a track that inspires me confidence and good sensations – said Beretta before heading to Le Castellet – We had a perfect car set-up and we fully used our potential, taking a clear success. This is why I hope we can repeat a great performance. We will run at the sunset, when the temperature will be cooler and for this reason inside the cockpit will be less hard for us.”
